Skin Cancer Evaluation

Early detection of skin cancer is a vital step towards assuring a good prognosis. Dr. Frank C. Victor, MD, FAAD performs full body skin exams yearly for those patients without a history of skin cancer and at shorter intervals for those with a history of skin cancer. He also encourages monthly self-skin exams and provides instruction on how to perform these. Teaching a patient's eye to be suspicious of certain skin changes can aide in early detection of skin cancer. Dr. Frank C. Victor, MD, FAAD also utilizes dermoscopy, a technique that allows for characterization of normal and abnormal pigment patterns.
